Shine bright Like A Princess....
Not that long ago, whenever someone mentioned the words 'glitter' and 'shoes' together, most people would get visions of those glitter encrusted shoes you used to wear when you were twelve. I was one of those people; I had so many glittery shoes that I thought I looked the coolest at the school disco!, and if I must admit I still think I look the cutest when I am wearing a pair of sparkly shoes on my feet.
The thing is, glittery shoes are one of my favourite trends, and I am really happy that they seem to have been brought back into fashion for the moment. I feel like I am spoiled for choice at this time of year! Take these adorable new silver flat ballerina shoes that I just purchased from Kurt Geiger. I loved them that much, I got the silver clutch bag to match! With their smart black bow as a finishing touch, these shoes are my new favourite pair as they step up to the plate and make me feel like a princess!
It's easy to think that glittery shoes only look great at the festive period, but with the right outfit you can make them work any time. Even in the Summer!.
So tell me, would you be on - board with the sparkly shoe trend?

What am I wearing today?.....
So today was a very early morning start so me and my mother could finish the Christmas shopping. Since it was going to be a busy day, I of course opted to wear something that would be comfortable and easy to move in. I am quite lucky in the fact that my wardrobe mainly consists of skirts and dresses that are incredibly comfortable.
This skirt is one of my favourite wardrobe pieces that I have ever bought. I loved it that much that I went and bought it in purple as well. Combined with my new super new cosy knit top that I recent purchased from H&M along with a hat, which is an accessory that I fee compliments every single Winter outfit.
I hope everyone has managed to finish their Christmas shopping and can hopefully relax until Sunday!
P.S - Alright, So I am not going to lie, but the skirt was bought in Miss Selfridge in the Spring/Summer season. However, it is far to adorable not to wear whenever I get the chance!
Hat - Primark
Top - H&M
Skirt - Miss Selfridge
Bag - New Look

"It's The Most Wonderful Time of The Year"

"It's the most wonderful time of the year" - Every year at the start of December I hear Andy Williams croon these words on the radio. I have to admit, it's one of my favourite Christmas songs ever made. It makes me feel more festive every time I hear it; Not to mention, Andy Williams was incredibly right, Christmas is the most wonderful time of the year and I love it every year.
Now I bet most of you are realizing that this is my first blog post in quite a while, well that is very true. I could write an essay on how busy I have been with completing my undergraduate degree in Fashion Management ( I now have a fashion degree, aaahh!), or that the past year in general had taken it's toll on my personal and mental well being that I struggled to do many things. Honestly, I could go into detail about many reasons as to why I have been unavailable, but I do not need to dwell on the past.
I am currently in a much better place and I am looking forward to the future. Not to mention I am a student once more, as I have embarked on a masters degree in Journalism so I can achieve my career goal of becoming a fashion journalist. Also I have recently found a wonderful new man, and I feel as though my friendships have become stronger this year. So all in all, I feel good with where I am at right now. Of course I still have a lot more growing to do, but I feel like I am making progress.
So I decided that I needed to get back to my blog, and I couldn't think of a better time other than Christmas. I always feel wonderful at this time of the year, coming home from my studies to spend time with my family (particularly the little ones who are growing so big!), drinking hot chocolate and watching Christmas movies. I am honestly the biggest child when it comes to the festive season. Just before I wrote this blog post I was sat on my floor with a cup of hot chocolate, with tons of presents and wrapping to be done all scattered around me. Sounds hectic, but I do love it.
Not to mention Christmas brings out some of the best scenery I have seen all year. I attended Edinburgh's Winter Market with my parents just last week and I tried Nutella hot chocolate for the very first time, and I think I fell in love. Like usual it was incredibly beautiful. Of course it was busy!, like it usually is, but there is no denying that it's a beautiful sight. Also what would Christmas be without the hustle and bustle of the big cities? I don't think it would feel very festive if the cities were quiet.
While this blog post may not seem much, it means a lot to me to get back into my writing, which I aim to upkeep more as of now. Therefore I wish you all a very merry Christmas, and of course a wonderful new year!
